Clearbrook Technology

Welcome to Clearbrook Technology

  • Clearbrook Technology is the source for simulation models for the simulator of your choice.  Clearbrook models provide simualtion models for Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) simulators and digital signal integrity simulators.
  • Clearbrook models are ready to use and are either formatted in the IBIS format or in the format of the simulator of your choice.

  • Clearbrook models are pin specific with a complete set of models for all of a component's pins.
  • Clearbrook provides individual models, a set of models for a project or a model library.

With today's designs, digital signal integrity simulations and EMC simulations are required steps in the design process for digital systems.  To perform simulations, many simulators use models in the IBIS format to represent digital circuits.

However, obtaining comprehensive and ready to use IBIS models can be difficult.  Some IBIS models do not list every pin in the component in the model.  These IBIS models do not include a table listing each pin with associated model for each pin.  Also, depending on the design engineers specification for the component's interface (for example the interface voltage), some IBIS models require design engineers to hand craft a model from generic information.  With Clearbrook Technology, the models are ready to use with all the pins specified for the component and the component's interface.

In addition, many simulators are based on a SPICE engine and require translation of IBIS formatted models into the internal format used by the simulator.  To save extra steps, Clearbrook Technology can translate models into the format for the simulator of the engineer's choice.

  • Clearbrook Technology helps design engineers focus on the design task and helps design engineers avoid searching for model data, avoid hand crafting models, avoid verifying models, avoid translating models, and avoid the expense where models in a project can cost more then the simulator.

  • Another problem that design engineers face is the time that it takes to obtain models.  Frequently, delivery of models takes four weeks or six weeks or longer.  Clearbrook Technology strives to reduce to the delivery time for the models.

  • Clearbrook model libraries are provided to three types of customers.
    • Clearbrook provides model libraries to simulator companies.
    • Clearbrook provides model libraries to semiconductor companies.
    • Clearbrook provides individual models as well as a complete set of models for a project directly to engineers.

  • Models are in text formatted files, include small to large pin count components for microprocessor, DSP, FPGA, Flash memory, DDR memory and other components from the engineer's preferred semiconductor vendor.

Clearbrook Technology models are economical, pin specific, component specific, semiconductor vendor specific, ready to use and can be translated to the internal format used by the engineer's simulator of choice.
